The natural parks in the Province of Trento occupy one third of the whole territory. There are more than 3,800 different kind of animals and plants.
The most famous three Natural Parks in Trento are:
- Natural Park of Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino, kmq 158
- Natural Park of Adamello-Brenta
- Natural Park of Stelvio, kmq 1346
There are 2 more protected areas:
- the Dolomites, a Natural World Heritage since 2009
- the UNESCO Biosphere "Judicaria and Alpi Ledrensi", from the Dolomites to Garda
