The Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics took place from February 6-22, 2026, while the Paralympics were held from March 6-15. An international event that once again brought the spotlight to the Dolomites and their extraordinary mountain destinations.

The event involved several destinations, including Cortina d'Ampezzo, Anterselva, Tesero and Predazzo, confirming the Dolomite region as one of the world's great capitals of winter sports.

Cortina d'Ampezzo hosted women's alpine skiing, paralympic skiing, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton, as well as curling and wheelchair curling. The world's best athletes competed on the Tofane slopes, while the new Sliding Centre hosted sliding disciplines. Cortina also hosted the Paralympic closing ceremony.

In Anterselva, in the province of Bolzano, biathlon competitions were held. In Trentino, Tesero hosted cross-country skiing, paralympic cross-country skiing, nordic combined and paralympic biathlon, while Predazzo was the venue for ski jumping.
