Naturhotel Miraval

Surrounded by nature and absolute peace, the family-run Naturhotel Miraval is located in Montassilone di Gais, near Perca and just a few kilometres from Brunico. With its authentic and sincere hospitality, it is the perfect place for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The area has much to offer in every season. If summer invites you to beautiful hikes and exciting bike tours, in winter you can snowshoe, ski and toboggan along the natural toboggan run Tristenbach in Rio Bianco. During the winter season, the hotel provides a shuttle bus to the Ried ski resort in Percha for a fee. Also worth a visit are the Earth Pyramids of Percha.

Born from the renovation of a farmstead, the Miraval is characterised by being a Bio Hotel that cares about environmental sustainability. At the Hotel Miraval, nature is the absolute protagonist, especially in the kitchen. Thanks to the use of 0 km and organic ingredients, some of which come from the own farm, dishes such as nettle spätzle, watercress velouté and chestnut mousse are made. Plastic is hardly ever used, only paper bags are used for packed-lunch. Beds, pillows and textiles are made of natural materials and eco-friendly detergents are used for washing, and laundry is dried naturally, in the air and sun. Since 2011, the hotel's own woodchip plant has been supplying renewable energy to the hotel. Wood chips are wood processing waste, which in this case is reused to produce pleasant warmth. In addition, the fields are fertilised exclusively in a natural way and the farm animals grow according to the rhythms of nature.

The cosy rooms and suites furnished with natural materials and different types of wood offer maximum comfort and are equipped with a bathroom with shower, TV, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi and balcony.

In the morning, a rich breakfast buffet with various South Tyrolean delicacies, jams and cakes, bread, cereals, various yoghurts. There is also the possibility to order breakfast in your room, to have breakfast earlier than planned if you have to leave early and, in case you leave the hotel without having breakfast, the staff is available to prepare a packed-lunch for you at no extra charge. If you fancy an afternoon snack, you can order homemade cakes, sandwiches or a bacon board at the bar for an extra charge. In the romantic Tesselberger Stuben restaurant, in classic Tyrolean style and with pine wood panelling, the atmosphere is very special. In the evening, you can choose from a 4- to 5-course gourmet menu with salad buffet. Gluten- and lactose-free dishes are available on request. The real speciality to try is 'S'Lampl im Heu' (lamb) prepared with lamb meat and hay. Themed evenings are organised, including a South Tyrolean dinner, an aperitif in the garden and dessert buffet.

If you want to relax on holiday, the hotel has a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and an infrared sauna. On request and for a fee: private sauna and massages (to be requested at least one day in advance).
