Hotel Masl

Hotel Masl is a cosy, family-run 4-star S hotel located at an altitude of 1,300 metres in Valles, nestled in the magnificent mountain landscape of the Val Pusteria, in the Rio Pusteria ski & hut holiday area. Founded in 1680, the Hotel Masl is a historic hotel that stands out for its warm and personalised hospitality, ideal for those who want to spend a holiday of relaxation, sport and South Tyrolean tradition.

Thanks to its strategic location, the hotel offers activities for all seasons. In summer, the landscape invites you to go hiking or biking, with trails leading through forests, meadows and spectacular peaks. In winter, guests can reach the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area directly on skis, thanks to the ski lift located directly in front of the hotel. Cross-country skiing trails, snowshoeing paths and a toboggan run are also close by, as well as cultural cities such as Bruneck, Brixen and Sterzing, famous for their Christmas markets.

The rooms and suites, furnished in natural wood, offer a romantic and relaxing ambience, ideal for tranquillity and rest. Hotel Masl also welcomes families with numerous areas and services dedicated to children, including Toni's World, an outdoor area with playground, zip line, pedal car course and a mini-zoo. There is also a games room, children's pool and a rich programme of activities designed for the little ones.

The hotel's wellness centre, spread over three floors and more than 2,000 square metres, is an oasis of relaxation. Featuring indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools, saunas, a Kneipp path, a relaxation room with heated water beds and a fully equipped gym, it offers a wide range of wellness treatments. From June 2025, the wellness centre will be enriched with a new adults-only area, with an ‘Aufguss’ sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool and relaxation corners surrounded by nature, for a rejuvenating and exclusive experience. For families, the new family spa includes a 15-metre maxi-slide, saunas suitable for young and old, and new relaxation areas.

The gastronomic offer of Hotel Masl has also been renewed: the new restaurant, inspired by the typical Tyrolean stube, offers a cosy atmosphere where guests can enjoy South Tyrolean and Italian dishes prepared with high-quality local ingredients. Every week, guests can participate in theme evenings, dessert and cheese buffets and show cooking, as well as enjoy a gourmet dinner paired with wines from the cellar.

The link with local traditions is also expressed through authentic experiences, such as a guided excursion to the hotel's own hut in the village of Malga Fane, with a Tyrolean snack offered at the end of the visit.

In June 2025, the Hotel Masl introduced 16 new 55 sqm suites, elegant and spacious, some of which feature a private sauna and a whirlpool tub, designed to offer guests an even higher level of comfort. During the same period, the new “Masl Team House” was also inaugurated, a dedicated facility created to enhance the well-being and comfort of the hotel staff, confirming the Masl’s ongoing commitment to people, both guests and team members.

At the Hotel Masl, guests can benefit from the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, a card that allows free use of public transport throughout South Tyrol and, during certain periods, also includes the Gitschberg, Jochtal, and Plose cable cars. It also offers access to a rich weekly programme of activities and excursions, such as rafting, farm visits, guided e-bike tours, children’s climbing experiences, and summit hikes with a mountain guide. In winter, the Guest Pass also includes free use of the ski bus and the main regional cable cars, including Renon, San Genesio, Meltina, and Verano, as well as the Renon railway and the Mendola funicular. One of the most appreciated benefits is the free ride on the Gitschberg and Jochtal cable cars.
