Holidays in Mori between Rovereto and Garda lake

15 km from Riva del Garda and 8 km from Rovereto, lies the municipality of Mori, one of the most important in Vallagarina, in the presence of Monte Baldo. The perfect destination for holidays dedicated to sports, culture, and history.

Mori is crossed by the cycle path which, skirting the biotope of Lake Loppio, leads to Nago-Torbole, a panoramic spot on Lake Garda.

With its 13 hamlets, it boasts a rich artistic, historical, and archaeological heritage. Its symbol is the Sanctuary of Montalbano, dedicated to the Madonna dell’Annunziata, which stands out for its spire bell tower with a 4 meter diameter clock. Nearby are a via ferrata and the boulder climbing park, ideal for the more experienced.

In the area are several churches worth visiting: Santa Maria a Bindis, Santo Stefano Protomartire, San Biagio bishop and martyr, Sant'Apollonia, Sant'Antonio, the Presentation of Mary in the hamlet of Besagno, dei Santi Filippo and Giacomo in the hamlet of Pannone, and Santi Felice and Fortunato, in the hamlet of Valle San Felice.

In the area there are also several prehistoric sites, such as the Colombo cave located near the hamlet of Sano, the trenches and the artillery positions, the island of Sant'Andrea on Lake Loppio, Salvotti palace and the ruins of the medieval castle of Castelgresta in the hamlet of Pannone.

Thanks to its privileged location, 8 km from the Brentonico Plateau, the area offers a range of leisure opportunities throughout the year.

Excursions, bike tours, snowshoeing, and ski mountaineering…as well as downhill skiing in the ski area of Polsa, San Valentino, and San Giacomo, and cross-country skiing in San Giacomo. There is no shortage of toboggan runs for the children to have fun on.

There are two events not to be missed during the year: the Spring Festival and the Autumn Ganzega, one of the highlight autumn events in Trentino where the traditions of the past are relived through ancient crafts, parades in period clothing, and shows.
