The Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch Relay announces the arrival of the Games in our country. The complete route of the Olympic Torch Relay has recently been unveiled, covering Italy from 6 December 2025 to 6 February 2026. In addition to the 60 cities already announced, more than 300 municipalities have been announced that will welcome the Flame along its 12,000 km journey. The itinerary will begin on 26 November 2025 in Olympia, with the lighting of the traditional flame, which will then arrive in Italy, in Rome, on 4 December, from where, two days later, it will begin its journey. The flame will also cross the Dolomites with three stops in the Belluno Dolomites and three stops in Trentino-Alto Adige.
The stages in the Dolomites
The Olympic Flame will arrive in Belluno on 25 January 2026. From Udine, the Flame will first pass through Pordenone, Conegliano Veneto, Vittorio Veneto and Valdobbiadene with the Prosecco Hills. It will then pass through Feltre and Setteville before reaching Belluno.
On 26 January 2026, the Flame will pass through Farra d'Alpago, Ponte nelle Alpi, Vajont/Longarone, Pieve and Tai, Valle di Cadore and San Vito in Cadore. It will then arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo on the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Games, heading towards the Tofane Hut and then descending along the historic sliding sports track and the Eugenio Monti Olympic slope. The last stage in Veneto will be on 27 January 2026 at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Lake Misurina.
From Dobbiaco, passing through the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Lake Misurina, on 27 January 2026, the Flame will arrive in Bolzano, after passing through Villabassa, Anterselva, the home of Olympic Biathlon, Rasun di Sotto and Brunico. From there, it will continue towards Plan de Corones and Bressanone to Bolzano.
After lighting up the Sellaronda and Ortisei, the Olympic Flame will climb towards Cavalese on 28 January 2026. It will first pass through Canazei, Campitello di Fassa and Lake Carezza. It will then reach Soraga, Moena and Predazzo, the venue for the Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined competitions, the latter shared with Tesero, which will host the Cross-Country Skiing events, before ending the day in Masi di Cavalese and finally in Cavalese itself, in Val di Fiemme.
The Olympic Flame will arrive in Trento on 29 January 2026. From Cavalese, it will travel to Merano, Appiano sulla Strada del Vino, Caldaro, Termeno, Mezzocorona, Terlano and Baselga di Pinè before reaching Trento.
