Cross-country skiing in San Martino-Passo Rolle

San Martino di Castrozza - Passo Rolle skiing area has a unique position: it praises always abundant snow precipitations, temperatures never too cold and several sunny days. For the lovers of cross-country there are 30 km slopes of skating and classic technique at their disposal, which are situated in the Natural park Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino and in different equipped centres.

San Martino Cross-Country Skiing Center is in a suggestive 9 km long track in the Natural Park, among meadows covered with snow and sparse larch and fir woods. The several ups and downs require good skills and a medium committment, however repayed by wonderful sightseeing on the Pale and by the wild charm of these areas. There are three rings available: a very easy one for beginners, an average difficulty one suitable for all, with a wonderful view of the Pale di San Martino group, and a more challenging one going right into the beautiful Colfosco fir wood. Artificial snow is scheduled for the easy/average track.
Altitude: 1450 - 1700 mì

Near San Martino di Castrozza, in the wonderful setting of Passo Rolle, you can find the Passo Rolle Cross-Country Skiing Center with a ring 2 km long at the bottom of Cimon della Pala, with start from Malga Rolle.
High: 1980 m

In this area there is also the Passo Cereda Cross-Country Skiing Center, where Nordic ski at high levels is practised too along 15 binding but well beated km. Since this winter the cross-country centre will be equipped withguest rooms, showers and a ski wax room.
Altitude: 1300 - 1400 m

Do not forget the Calaita Lake Cross-Country Skiing Center. The incomparable scenery of the Pale di San Martino which overhangs the valley covered with snow of the Calaita Lake is in the background of this easy itinerary: the lenght is about 8 km but the slopes are very easy and suitable for beginners too.
Altitude: 1600 - 1700 m

The Imèr Cross-Country Skiing Center, located in "Peze", about 1 km from the centre of Imèr in the direction of Monte Vederna.  The track draws an easy ring about 1,500 metres long with no particular gradient and a medium ring about 2400 metres long. The track is lit up at night and you can rent the facilities in the village of Imèr.
Vederna Track: 1525 m with a difference in altitude of 30 m
Noana Track: 2400 m with a difference in altitude of 55 m

Located in the beautiful setting of Val Canali, this easy Val Canli Cross-Country Skiing Center has its starting point at Bar Laghetto. The track winds through places of great environmental and landscape value near Villa Welsperg, home to the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Park, with informational displays on various naturalistic topics.
