LATEMAR.PANORAMA

The Latemar.Panorama trail unfolds beneath the magnificent rock walls of the Latemar massif, offering breathtaking mountain scenery at every step. Along the entire route, a succession of panoramic viewpoints invites hikers to pause, recharge, and admire the unique features of the UNESCO Dolomites.

The hike is rated as moderate difficulty, suitable for walkers with a minimum level of fitness. The paths are well marked, though they include some steeper sections and rocky passages. The high‑altitude environment requires proper footwear and a steady pace.

The starting point is the upper station of the Oberholz chairlift. After about five minutes on foot, you reach trail no. 18, which leads to the panoramic platform Latemar.360°. From here, the route continues along trail no. 22 towards Passo Feudo.

For roughly 3.5 km, the trail runs directly beneath the towering rock faces of the Latemar, crossing a unique and captivating alpine landscape. Along the way, several information stations illustrate local flora and fauna, the historic timber border dispute with the nearby Val di Fiemme, geological features of the mountain, and the many stories and legends linked to the Latemar.

From Passo Feudo, the return follows the same route: back along trail no. 22 to the Latemar.360° platform, then along trail no. 18 to the upper station of the Oberholz chairlift.

Alternatively, for those seeking a more varied loop, it is possible to:

  • descend briefly towards the upper station of the Gardonè chairlift,
  • take trail no. 504, which traverses the slope,
  • and reconnect with trail no. 22 near the panoramic platform.

Both options lead comfortably back to the starting point, always with privileged views of the Latemar walls.
