An “Alpine Corner” is available at the hotel, with maps, trail guides and useful tips for planning days outdoors. Guests can use backpacks, hiking poles and maps free of charge, while the staff is available to recommend excursions based on difficulty, available time and individual needs.

Pampeago: hiking, biking and nature

In summer, Pampeago is an excellent starting point for exploring the Dolomites of Val di Fiemme. There are routes for every level, from easy trails through meadows and forests to more challenging hikes towards Torre di Pisa Refuge and Monte Feudo.

For more leisurely walks, guests can head towards Monte Cornon or Oberholz Refuge, while mountain bikers can take on the Latemar Tour, a spectacular route through Val di Fiemme, Obereggen and Val di Fassa, with breathtaking views of Latemar, the Catinaccio and Lake Carezza.

The area also offers plenty of family-friendly experiences, including themed trails such as the Dragon Forest, the Distracted Shepherd Trail and the Dos Capèl Geotrail, as well as RespirArt, a high-altitude open-air art park.

The mountains can also be enjoyed with a pushchair: an easy paved path leads to Zischgalm and Ganischgeralm mountain huts, at the foot of the Latemar. In Tesero, the El Zerilo Ranch offers children and adults the chance to discover Western-style horse riding.

Winter holidays just steps from the ski slopes

For snow lovers, Hotel Scoiattolo is located just a few metres from the lifts of the Latemar Dolomites ski area, offering 52 km of slopes for skiers of all levels, including dedicated areas for children and a snowpark for freestyle enthusiasts.

For added convenience, an electric golf cart takes guests to the valley station.

Around 15 minutes from the hotel, the Passo Lavazè Cross-Country Ski Centre offers 80 km of trails through forests and sunny clearings. Families can also enjoy a sledging slope, the Alpine Coaster Gardonè and the Bip Club Kindergarten, a dedicated area for younger children.

Comfortable rooms, local cuisine and wellness

After a day outdoors, the rooms at Hotel Scoiattolo offer a bright and comfortable retreat, combining the warmth of wood with modern amenities. Large windows provide views of the surrounding nature and the mountains of Pampeago.
