MTB in Val di Non: Predaia Loop among Alpine Huts, Forests and Scenic Views
An ideal route for anyone who loves riding immersed in nature, surrounded by the scent of the forest, high‑altitude pastures and inviting mountain huts. The Predaia plateau offers a varied and rewarding MTB itinerary, with steady climbs, panoramic stretches and a final technical descent that will delight experienced bikers.
From the parking area near “7 Larici” to Rifugio Predaia
The tour starts from the parking area just before Baita 7 Larici, a well‑known trailhead in the area. Follow the paved road climbing toward Rifugio Predaia, pedalling through spruce woods and sunny clearings.
Once you reach Rifugio Sores, turn left across the parking area and continue uphill following the signs for Rifugio Predaia, which soon appears in a panoramic position overlooking the plateau.
From Predaia to Malga Rodeza
Continue straight along the forest road leading to Malga Rodeza, one of the most characteristic huts in the area. The route alternates shaded stretches and open viewpoints over the Val di Non, offering the perfect setting for a short break.
Towards the Coredo Alpine Huts
After Rodeza, turn left following the signs for the Coredo Huts. The road climbs gently until it reaches Malga Coredo Vecia, surrounded by pastures and larch woods. From here begins the most adrenaline‑filled part of the tour.
Technical descent to “7 Larici” and return
From the hut, descend along a challenging dirt track, ideal for riders who enjoy technical but manageable descents. At a crossroads with a fountain, continue straight ahead until you reach the paved road beside the refuge.
In just a few minutes you return to the starting parking area, completing a satisfying and well‑rounded MTB loop.
