This thematic trail offers a circular route leading to the panoramic platform installed above 2,000 m on the Latemar Dolomite massif.
From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Latemar walls, the wide expanse of meadows, pastures and forests of the Val d’Ega, and all the surrounding Alpine peaks. A 360° panoramic map highlights the mountains, showing their exact position from the observer’s viewpoint and helping you easily orient yourself among the mountain chains of the Central Alps.
There are two ways to reach the panoramic platform:
1. With the Oberholz lift (shortest option)
Take the modern and scenic Oberholz chairlift. From the upper station, the wide and well‑marked trail no. 18 begins. In just 5 minutes you reach the panoramic platform.
2. With the Latemar chairlift (longer route)
Take the Latemar chairlift. From the top station, a trail crosses gentle pastures and rolling slopes. The walk takes about 50 minutes.
