LATEMAR.ALP

A low-difficulty itinerary, perfect for families, children and even for those using a trekking stroller, unfolds within the Latemarium thematic area, one of the most renowned hiking destinations in the Dolomites. The trails are well maintained, clearly signposted and designed to be accessible and safe, with moderate gradients and numerous rest points.

The route starts near Obereggen – Ega, close to the valley station of the Obereggen lifts, where the Latemarium themed paths begin. From here, you follow the dedicated Latemar.Alp trail.

The path crosses the alpine meadows of Val d’Ega and Val di Fiemme, a landscape of wide pastures, traditional mountain huts and red spruce forests typical of this part of the Dolomites. Along the way, thematic installations, educational panels and small play areas make the walk especially engaging for children.

The area is famous for its spectacular colours, which change dramatically with the seasons: the deep greens of summer, the golden tones of autumn and the bright whites of winter. All of this is framed by the Latemar massif, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, dominating the panorama with its jagged peaks.

This route is ideal for anyone wishing to enjoy an immersive experience in the alpine world of the Dolomites, without technical difficulties and with the opportunity to stop at a mountain hut for a panoramic break or to taste local products.
