The winter season of Dolomiti Superski will start on 28 November 2026, with some new features in the Dolomites ski resorts.
For winter 2026/27, significant investments are planned in new ski lifts, slopes and connections, as well as improvements to snowmaking systems, infrastructure and energy efficiency.
Among the main new features are the new Kronplatz 1+2 cable car at Plan de Corones, the connection project between San Martino di Castrozza and Passo Rolle and several new runs and areas dedicated to skiing and freestyle.
New Ski Lifts
The most substantial chapter of investments concerns ski lifts, with numerous projects distributed across the various resorts.
At Plan de Corones, the new 10-person cable car Kronplatz 1+2, equipped with an intermediate station, the 8-person automatic chairlift Dolomiti in Valdaora and the 8-person cable car Ruis in San Vigilio di Marebbe will open.
In the 3 Zinnen Dolomites resort, at Versciaco, the 10-person cable car Helmissimo will be inaugurated. In Val di Fassa, at Buffaure, a new 10-person cable car will replace the chairlift to Col Valvacin, while at Obereggen a new 8-person automatic chairlift will debut.
New features also at Alpe di Siusi, San Martino di Castrozza, Gitschberg and in Val di Zoldo, where the new Steger-Dellai, Scandola and Gitsch chairlifts are planned and the renewal of the Pecol-Pian del Crep cable car.
In Alta Badia and in Val di Fiemme/Obereggen, moreover, some obsolete drag lifts will be replaced by new lifts of the same type, more modern and efficient.
New Slopes and Ski Areas
The slopes section also features several new additions.
At Plan de Corones the new runs Lumen and Dolomiti will be inaugurated, together with the new skiweg Weiden and other improvements on existing slopes.
In Alta Badia a new 5c slope is planned at Arlara. At San Martino di Castrozza, instead, at Alpe Tognola the new slope Larici will open, accompanied by the Dolomia Funslope and the complete renovation of the San Martino Snowpark.
San Martino di Castrozza-Passo Rolle: New Connection Underway
One of the projects set to have the greatest impact on the future of the ski area is the connection between San Martino di Castrozza and Passo Rolle.
Construction of the new connecting cable cars has been officially launched. This is a multi-year project aimed at creating a direct connection between the two ski areas and is currently under development.
More Snowmaking and New Water Reservoirs
An important part of the investments concerns the enhancement of snowmaking, with the aim of making the infrastructure increasingly efficient and guaranteeing greater reliability of the slopes during the season.
Among the projects are new water collection basins at Selva di Val Gardena, San Candido and Pampeago.
Snowmaking systems will also be renewed in various locations, including Cortina d'Ampezzo, Alta Badia, Buffaure, Bellamonte, Passo Oclini, San Pellegrino, Alpe Lusia and Civetta, as well as other resorts.
Photovoltaic and Energy Efficiency
The projects also look to energy production and infrastructure efficiency.
In Alta Badia new photovoltaic systems will be installed at several lift stations, while at Plan de Corones an existing photovoltaic system will be expanded.
Works are also planned for revision, expansion and general modernization in Val di Fassa/Carezza, Arabba/Marmolada, Alpe Cermis and Predazzo.
Passo San Pellegrino: Works Ahead of World Cup
At Passo San Pellegrino the finish area of the LaVolatA slope will be expanded, in preparation for the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup races.
The project also includes the construction of a new bar-restaurant at the base station of the Col Margherita cable car.
