Route description
The trail starts at Case Guarda Centrale ENEL and climbs steadily towards Passo Finestra, crossing two particularly charming areas: the Casere Cansèch, a testament to the local agro‑pastoral tradition, and the evocative Valle delle Grave, characterised by wide open spaces and increasingly broad mountain views as you gain altitude.
The elevation range between 623 and 1766 metres offers a continuous change of scenery: from mixed woodland in the lower valley to high‑altitude meadows where summer blooms bring unique colours and fragrances. The final stretch towards the pass is especially interesting from a botanical point of view, with species typical of higher alpine environments.
