Latemar.Natura

A simple and engaging itinerary designed for families, children, and nature lovers who want to explore the alpine habitats of the Latemar up close. The route is fully signposted and accessible from June to October, offering spectacular views and several educational stops that turn the walk into a fun and enriching experience.

The excursion starts at the upper station of the Oberholz chairlift, where a breathtaking view of the Dolomites opens immediately. From here, follow trail no. 18, which leads to the famous Latemar.360° platform, a natural balcony with a full 360-degree panorama over the surrounding peaks.

Continue along trail no. 22, crossing high‑altitude meadows and scenic viewpoints until reaching the junction above the Absam-Maierl top station. From here, the path descends gently toward Mayrl Alm, an ideal stop for a tasty break surrounded by alpine landscapes.

The return follows trail no. 23, recently renewed and enriched with interactive nature stations: sound installations, wooden structures, educational panels, and observation points that allow children to discover plants, animals, and mountain sounds in a playful way.

A short but emotion-filled excursion, perfect for spending a day at high altitude surrounded by nature, views, and activities for the whole family.
