1. Historical Trail: Tires – Völsegg – San Sebastiano – Wuhnleger – Tschetterloch – Lavina Bianca – San Cipriano
Elevation gain: 400 m – Duration: 4–5 hours The historical trail, an interesting and easy hike suitable for the whole family, starts from the parish church of Tires and leads to 11 historical sites, surrounded by meadows and forests and marked with descriptive panels.
2. Tires – Völsegg – Schönblick – Malga Cavone – Cima Völsegg – Tires
This easy hike allows you to reach Malga Cavone and Cima Völsegg, enjoying an extraordinary panorama over the surrounding mountains and villages, with a wide view of the Bolzano basin.
3. Lavina Bianca – Val Ciamin – Rifugio Bergamo – Passo Molignon – Alpe di Tires – Lavina Bianca
Duration: 8 hours – accessible from late June to late September A demanding hike for experienced hikers that crosses the wild and romantic Val Ciamin and climbs through scree slopes and steep rock walls to Passo Molignon. The descent includes the famous Buso dell’Orso gully (fixed rope).
4. Lavina Bianca – Buso dell’Orso – Alpe di Tires – Sciliar – Val Orsara – Lavina Bianca
Duration: 8–9 hours – accessible from late June to late September A strenuous hike, but well worth the effort: the ascent to the Sciliar rewards you with an incredible view over the famous Alpe di Siusi, followed by sweeping vistas of the surrounding glaciers.
5. Lavina Bianca – Val Orsara – Sesselschwaige – Sciliar Ridge – Malga Cavone – Lavina Bianca
Duration: 6 hours – accessible from late June to late September A medium‑difficulty route featuring fascinating passages through gorges and jagged rock walls, where Scots pines, stone pines and mountain pines grow (chamois habitat).
