The Via Artis is a circular hiking trail of approximately 6 km, located at an altitude of 2,275 meters on the Plan de Corones plateau. It is considered the highest open-air art gallery in the world, featuring works by regional artists displayed in the alpine landscape.
All installations are made entirely from wood salvaged after extreme weather events: the 2018 Vaia storm and the heavy snowfall and rain of 2019. The project promotes sustainability through creative reuse and environmental awareness.
At three access points along the trail, visitors can explore themes related to the area:
- The historic military trail
- Alpine flora protection
- The role of mountain pastures in tradition, tourism, and the local economy
Markings: letter “B”, walkable in both directions
