Archaeological Panoramic Trail

The Archaeological Panoramic Trail is an itinerary that leads to the excavation sites of the Sonnenburger Kopf and unfolds as a true journey through history.

The route begins either from Santa Croce, at the Rienza bridge, or from Castelbadia, at the junction with Campolino Street, and by following the trail markers it loops back to the starting point. Along the way, hikers can explore the history of settlements that shaped the Puster Valley from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age and into the Roman period, thanks to sixteen information panels that recount the discoveries and explain the evolution of life and culture in this area.

The walk takes place in an environment of unspoiled nature, among woods and panoramic views, offering an experience that combines archaeological discovery with the pleasure of immersing oneself in the beauty of the landscape.
