The BIOhotel Aqua Bad Cortina & thermal baths has been a historical place known for its mineral baths since 1741: its name refers to one of the 30 mineral waters officially recognized by South Tyrol. The earliest historical documents of Locanda Cortina date back to 1780 when they began to appreciate the healthy properties of the nearby spring used as public baths. After renovating the source and linking it to the hotel in 2003, mineral water is now served in the dining room and flows out of every faucet of the building. In summer, there are weekly visits to the spring together with the homeowner Nicol via a natural path enriched by philosophical thoughts that make it memorable and unique.
Staying in this typical structure means finding ones physical and mental well-being, while in harmony with nature, and surrounded by enchanted woods, the sounds of the stream, and the imposing dolomitic summits. An oasis of peace and tranquility, where guests can experience the exclusive Sulphur baths in the world's first silver quartzite and Swiss Pine filled with beneficial mineral waters.
Set in an idyllic location in San Vigilio di Marebbe and immersed in the greenery of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, it is the ideal destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts such as hiking or biking, downhill skiing or background. Close to the hotel are 46 selected routes for fantastic walks in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the scenic public playground of San Vigilio and the cross-country ski run. The hotel's own ski depot is directly on the ski slopes, only 2 minutes away by private shuttle.
