The plateaus of Trentino offer three modern and well-equipped cross-country skiing centers, featuring trails for every skill level: the Passo Coe and Forte Cherle centers near Folgaria, and the Millegrobbe center in Lavarone.
The Passo Coe Cross-Country Ski Center, part of the Super NordicSkipass circuit, is located 8 km from Folgaria, in the heart of the Skitour dei Forti area. It offers 45 km of trails divided into easy, intermediate and advanced levels, some of which are FIS‑certified and host national and international competitions. There are five loops: two easy trails of 2 and 3 km (both with snowmaking), a 5 km intermediate loop, and two competitive loops of 10 and 15 km. The center also features a “Casa del Fondista” with locker rooms, restrooms, showers, first aid, and a waxing area. On-site cardio‑respiratory testing is available. A race office and technical support for competitions are also provided, along with cross-country skiing and ski‑orienteering lessons.
The Forte Cherle Cross-Country Ski Center, located 10 km from Folgaria near the impressive ruins of Fort Cherle at 1,440 meters, offers three loops of 1.5, 4.5 and 8 km, for a total of 14 km—ideal especially for beginners.
The Millegrobbe Cross-Country Ski Center, on the Lavarone Plateau, is one of the most renowned in Northern Italy. For over twenty years it has hosted the Millegrobbe, an international long-distance race attracting top European athletes, along with numerous regional, interregional, national and international competitions.
The center offers 35 km of trails of varying difficulty, suitable for both classic and skating techniques. Five loops have snowmaking, and there is also a 2 km practice trail. Millegrobbe is connected to Passo Vezzena via an 18 km intermediate loop, and to the Campolongo Cross-Country Ski Center on the Asiago Plateau, about 21 km from Malga Millegrobbe.
As part of the Super NordicSkipass network, the center provides a restaurant, large parking area, camper facilities, equipment rental, professional waxing service, ski school, clear signage and first aid. Non-skiers can enjoy Nordic walking and snowshoeing trails.
