The small hamlet of Siror, the northernmost village of Primiero Valley, located a few kilometers from San Martino di Castrozza, turns into a romantic Christkindlmarkt during the Advent period. Ample stone polygonal fountains and popular frescoes on the facades of the houses characterize the historic center that every year hosts the renowned and evocative Christmas Market from the end of November to the end of December.
Born in 1993 from the passion of the inhabitants, the oldest market in Trentino is the best party in town. The villagers, all volunteers, carefully decorate every corner: walking through the streets, you can see wooden reindeer and gnomes amongst the courtyards, cellars, and barns, but also small illuminated mangers. The peculiarity of this market is its peasant feel, considered unique.
At the stands the exhibitors will surprise visitors with their artisanal artwork, such as glassware, nativity statues, candles, and Christmas decorations. There are also delicious gourmet products such as vin brulé, apple fritters, Siror's typical brazedel, trentino zelten, salami, honey, and much more.
Art and nature blend during Christmas. An absolute novelty is the new exhibition of wooden sculptures "Christmas Emotions"; stunning artwork carved during previous editions. Like every year, you will be able to take part in the traditional "My Christmas Tree" contest, which will crown the most beautifully decorated tree.
Numerous events are planned for adults and children. Christmas carols and choruses animate the town center that becomes aglow with lights and colors. The atmosphere is made even more magical by the troika rides, the large horse-drawn sleigh, which runs along the town's streets. The Young ones can enjoy a ride on Dalaip's donkeys or special workshops and games. A must for families is a visit to "Christmas in Mazarol's Lair". As always, San Nicolò and Santa Claus will make their appearance for the joy of the youngest.
