Lake Mis

In the heart of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, straddling the municipalities of Gosaldo in Agordino and Sospirolo in Valbelluna, lies the enchanting Valle del Mis with its namesake lake.

Of artificial origin, Lake Mis is set in a natural landscape of rare beauty between the Monti del Sole and the Vette Feltrine peaks. It is a popular destination in every season, thanks to its hiking opportunities, the well‑equipped camper area with services, the picnic area and the small beach where you can sunbathe on warm days or simply relax. There is also a playground nearby.

Lake Mis is best known for the Cadini del Brenton emerald‑green pools carved by erosion, and for the Cascata della Soffia waterfall. The latter can be reached via a well‑marked path starting near the Soffia bar.

How to reach Lake Mis

Valle del Mis is located in the province of Belluno. Provincial Road 2 crosses the valley and connects Sospirolo with Gosaldo and Rivamonte. Coming from Sospirolo, the road leading to the lake is very narrow and includes several tunnels that are poorly lit.
