Against the enchanting backdrop of the snow-covered Dolomites, Ortisei hosts traditional Christmas Markets where local flavours, craftsmanship and Ladin traditions come together.
The market stalls feature local products, Christmas decorations and exquisite wood and glass creations handcrafted by local artisans. The atmosphere is enhanced by the aromas of cinnamon, gingerbread and mulled wine, as well as Alpine horns and traditional whip-cracking performances. Along the streets of the town centre, visitors can admire numerous wooden nativity scenes, while children can enjoy a traditional wooden Val Gardena carousel.
