In the wonderful setting of a snowy Val Gardena, it's time again in Ortisei for the tasty and traditional Christmas Market. This market has all the fragrances and flair of Ladin traditions and craftsmanship: on the stands in fact you find local products and many different kinds of wood and glass handicrafts; but the main attraction remains without a doubt the nativity scenes exhibition, featuring the world's biggest nativity scene.
Cinnamon sweets, gingerbread and mulled wine, horns and whipcrackers is what you will see among the many stands, where you can admire and buy, besides Christmas decorations, true wooden works of art created by artisans: statues, nativity scenes, candles...
Along the alleys of the town center you can admire many wooden nativity scenes, displayed in characteristic display boxes.
Like every year, during the Advent days a life-size wooden statue will be added to the World's Biggest Nativity Scene.
