Panoramic circular itinerary across the meadows to the “Jakobstöckl” chapel, Campill peak and Astjoch summit. Once you reach Luson, continue by car towards Flitt/Valletta until the Schweiger Böden parking area.
After parking, start along a mule track and then follow a forest road until you reach the alpine pastures. At the junction, continue to the right towards Genaider Alm. From here, climb up to the Jakobstöckl chapel (2,026 m, panoramic viewpoint over the Brunico basin) and then proceed northwest along the marked ridge trail leading to Campill (2,190 m, Hörschwanger Kreuz).
Immersed in a fabulous panorama, cross the entire basin following the route that first leads to Einhäuserer Alm and then, with a short ascent, to Astjoch (2,198 m). From here, descend along the southern slope to the Kreuzwiese Hut, where, following the service road, you return to the starting point.
Along the way you can admire the Dolomites, the Sarntal Alps, the Zillertal Alps, the Rieserferner Group, and the High Tauern.
