Start: Piazza of Colle Santa Lucia (1453 m)
From the main square of Colle Santa Lucia, the trail begins to the left of the Hotel Posta and climbs toward the hamlet of Canazei. Following the signs and trail marker no. 463, the route enters a wooded section that leads to Forcella Forzela.
As the tall forest gradually thins out, the path crosses high‑altitude pastures and continues toward the summit of Monte Pore, where an extraordinary panorama opens over the most iconic Dolomite peaks rising in a crown above the surrounding valleys.
In 1866, an ancient pre‑Roman funerary stele was discovered on Monte Pore, adding historical significance to this mountain. To complete the hike, you can descend the opposite slope facing the Averau–Nuvolau group and reach Fedare, or return to Colle Santa Lucia by retracing the same route.
