Hikes between San Cipriano, Antermoia and Tires

1. Rifugio Nigra – Baumannschwaige – Hanicker Alm – Plafötsch – San Cipriano

Duration: 3–4 hours • Difficulty: easy–moderate

A pleasant route unfolding at the foot of the Catinaccio, through shady forests, flower-filled meadows and panoramic pastures. The traditional mountain huts along the way invite you to stop and enjoy local flavours, while the surrounding peaks create a stunning backdrop throughout the hike. Perfect for families and relaxed walkers.

2. Rifugio Bergamo – Passo Principe – Catinaccio d’Antermoia (3,004 m)

Duration: 5 hours round trip • Difficulty: demanding / alpine • Season: July–September

A spectacular adventure for experienced hikers, featuring short climbing sections and exposed passages. From Rifugio Bergamo the trail climbs to Passo Principe, then continues to the highest summit of the Catinaccio group: Catinaccio d’Antermoia, at 3,004 metres. A rewarding and intense experience, suitable only for those with sure footing and no fear of heights.

3. Rifugio Nigra – Rifugio Fronza alle Coronelle (2,337 m)

Duration: 1h30 • Difficulty: easy

A short but scenic hike: from the forests around Rifugio Nigra, the trail climbs gently to Rifugio Fronza, a natural viewpoint overlooking the Latemar, the Presanella glaciers, and the Adamello-Brenta and Ortles groups. Ideal for those seeking a relaxing walk with impressive Dolomite views.

4. Lavina Bianca – Val Orsara – Cima di Mezzodì – Hammerwand – Malga Cavone – Lavina Bianca

Duration: 6–7 hours • Difficulty: demanding (EE) • Season: late June – late September

A long and adventurous loop that crosses the gorge of Val Orsara, climbs through mountain pine slopes and reaches the Croda del Maglio and Cima di Mezzodì. Some sections are equipped with fixed ropes and require secure footing. The wide-open panorama in every direction makes the effort worthwhile.

5. San Cipriano – Briè – Ganne – Tires

Duration: 3–4 hours • Difficulty: easy

A gentle downhill route that showcases the rural heritage of the area: old mills, traditional farmhouses and historic workshops line the path. The trail alternates between forest sections and stretches along the stream, eventually reaching Briè and then Tires. Perfect for those who enjoy walking immersed in nature and local culture.
