This MTB route connects Campo Tures with Brunico, crossing some of the most characteristic landscapes of the Aurina Valley. It is a smooth and flowing itinerary, enriched by panoramic sections and short, more technical stretches that add variety without becoming overly demanding. Ideal for riders looking for a complete loop, well signposted and with constant changes of scenery.
Campo Tures → Winkel → Caminata → Gais → Brunico
The ride starts in Campo Tures, heading toward the historic district of San Maurizio, beyond the Aurino stream. Following the road toward Riva, you reach Frenes farm, where the route becomes more engaging: a steep, unpaved climb leads to Winkel, offering the first views of the surrounding mountains.
From here, the trail passes near the famous Riva Waterfalls, one of the most scenic highlights of the entire route. The track then continues on a flat section leading to the farms of Caminata, set in an authentic rural landscape.
The ride proceeds on asphalt toward Villa Ottone, then on gravel to Gais, and finally to Brunico, where you can enjoy a break in the lively town center before heading back.
Return to Campo Tures
For the return, follow the same route back to Caminata, then continue along the outbound road to reach Campo Tures again. The track remains smooth and allows for a steady pace even in the final section.
