Trentino and the Belluno Dolomites: two decisive days between Fai della Paganella and the highly anticipated queen stage Feltre–Piani di Pezzè
28 May – 166 km from Fai della Paganella to Pieve di Soligo:
The stage starts in Fai della Paganella, descends into Valsugana, climbs to Primolano and heads along the Treviso foothills to tackle the famous Muro di Ca’ del Poggio—now a symbol of the Giro in Veneto—before finishing in Pieve di Soligo.
29 May – the Dolomite queen stage, 151 km from Feltre to Alleghe/Piani di Pezzè:
A unique Dolomite setting, made legendary by Marco Pantani’s victory at the 1992 Giro d’Italia Dilettanti, now returning to the professional Giro. The route includes Passo Duran, Passo Staulanza, Passo Giau and Passo Falzarego before the final ascent to Piani di Pezzè.
Friuli: finish on Piancavallo on 30 May
On Saturday 30 May, the Giro enters Friuli with a symbolic stage: 199 km starting in Gemona del Friuli, crossing the areas struck by the 1976 earthquake, followed by a double ascent of the feared Piancavallo, already the scene of unforgettable battles.
Giro d’Italia Women 2026: the Dolomites in the spotlight from 31 May
The Giro Women begins on 30 May, one day before the men’s race ends. The athletes will take on two major Dolomite stages:
Belluno–Nevegal uphill time trial on 2 June
A spectacular 12.7 km climb, with gradients up to 14%, between Belluno and Nevegal. A pure climbers’ test that will help define the early leadership of the race.
