The Bressanone Water Light Festival 2026 returns to illuminate the historic centre with a unique artistic trail, where water, light, and creativity intertwine to transform fountains, squares, and cultural landmarks into an open‑air gallery. Local and international artists reinterpret the city’s spaces with installations that explore ecological, social, and economic themes connected to water and light, creating an immersive experience that invites visitors to observe, reflect, and be moved.

Under this motto, a captivating itinerary takes shape through the heart of Bressanone. Each artwork becomes an invitation to slow down, to let oneself drift like in a current: to float, dive, and resurface with new perspectives. It is a sensory journey that blends wonder, playfulness, introspection, and freedom — a small emotional roller coaster.
The 2026 edition is part of the European project IMAGINE PEACE, co‑funded by the European Union, which promotes collaboration and a sense of connection among five European light festivals. Alongside Bressanone, the participating cities are:
