Vandoies: sport holidays in Val di Fundres

At 755 meters above sea level, at the entrance to the Puster Valley, lies Vintl, a quiet village of just over 3,000 inhabitants that preserves the charm of authentic South Tyrol. The municipal area includes the villages of Niedervintl, Obervintl, Weitental, and Pfunders, nestled among green meadows and surrounded by majestic mountains.

Known for its traditional craftsmanship, Vintl is especially famous for loden production and local cheese making. Two must-see attractions for those who want to discover these traditions are the Loden World and the Capriz cheese dairy, located right next to each other.
At Loden World, visitors can learn about the history of this iconic Alpine fabric and watch the production process up close, while at Capriz they can enjoy a fascinating journey into the world of cheese — with an interactive museum, a viewing dairy, and a tasting of handcrafted specialties.

Nature and tranquility lovers will find a true paradise in the Pfunders Valley. Here, time seems to slow down: alpine huts, panoramic trails, and quiet forests invite visitors to rediscover the beauty of simplicity.
In summer, the valley is ideal for hiking and mountain tours, while in winter it turns into an enchanting snowy landscape — perfect for snowshoeing, winter walks, and ski touring.

The small village of Pfunders, located at nearly 1,000 meters, is a gem of peace and authenticity, while Weitental, with its warm hospitality and scenic views, is the ideal starting point to explore the valley.

Between craftsmanship, flavor, and nature, Vintl and its hamlets embody the true essence of South Tyrol.
