On 3, 10 and 17 December, the residents and guests of Val Sarentino will hear ancient melodies and cries of terror: these are the Klöckeln, groups of young people wearing traditional masks, who wander from house to house singing old songs.
The Klöckeln ritual revives an ancient Germanic custom linked to fertility. The songs and cries are in fact a wish for a good harvest.
The name of this festival comes from the German word "Anklöpfeln", meaning "to knock". In this case, knocking in search of an inn where to spend the night.
