Speck Alto Adige Festival

The annual appointment with high-altitude gastronomic tradition returns: on 26 and 27 September 2026, the summit of Plan de Corones will host the Speck Alto Adige Festival - Speckfest. This year's edition promises to be of particular institutional and historical significance, as it will serve as a backdrop for celebrations marking 30 years since Speck Alto Adige obtained its IGP mark (Protected Geographical Indication).

The event, promoted by the Speck Alto Adige Protection Consortium in synergy with the Dolomitic Region Plan de Corones, will take place at 2,275 metres altitude: a unique landscape setting for one of the most beloved tourist destinations in every season. The event area will be easily accessible to the public via the lift systems operating from Bruneck/Riscone and Valdaora/Casola. The central focus of the event will be Speck Alto Adige IGP, a symbol of a strong local production tradition. The programme includes the participation of official consortium exhibitors and selected producers, who will offer guided tastings, technical demonstrations and culinary pairings to the public. 

To complement the gastronomic offer, an exhibition route dedicated to South Tyrolean specialities will be set up, with stands reserved for local craftsmanship and zero-kilometre products, all accompanied by performances of live traditional music groups. 

To ensure the event takes place in complete safety and continuity, the organisation has prepared a contingency plan: in the event of adverse weather conditions (rain), the entire event will be relocated to the centre of Bruneck, keeping the programme and public offer unchanged.

Among the festive mountain huts and the unmistakable aroma of traditional light smoking, the Speck Festival - Speckfest 2026 confirms itself as the perfect occasion to fully experience the soul of South Tyrol, whether you are a family, trekking enthusiast or food explorer.
