LATEMAR.UNESCO

A high-altitude Alpine trail in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an adventure for lovers of trekking and the mountains, a route that leads to the conquest of the peaks and summits surrounding the Val d’Ega.

The Latemar.UNESCO theme trail, of medium difficulty and well marked, is exciting and highly scenic as it enters a natural labyrinth created by the huge boulders that fell after an ancient landslide. Once you reach the upper section of the trail, the view opens onto the imposing Marmolada, the highest mountain in the Dolomites.

From the Oberholz mountain station, take path no. 18 (passing the Latemar.360° viewing platform), continue through the Forcella dei Camosci to reach path no. 516, and then proceed through the majestic Valsorda valley. The trail reaches an altitude of 2,671 m at the Latemar–Torre di Pisa Hut, where you can enjoy a well‑deserved rest. The route then continues as a loop, descending back to the Oberholz chairlift mountain station via path no. 516 to the junction with path no. 22.
