Along the Panoramic Trail to Brunico

The hike along the Panoramic Trail from Valdaora di Sotto to Brunico begins at the parish church of Valdaora di Sotto and follows trail no. 15 towards the Riedler farms. The route crosses the Riedwald forest, a peaceful and shaded environment that leads to Lamprechtsburg Castle (Castel Lamberto), from where trail no. 14 continues until reaching Brunico.

The itinerary is easy and enjoyable, about 8.5 km long with an elevation gain of around 200 m, making it ideal for a relaxing walk of about 2 hours immersed in the nature and history of the Puster Valley.

For the return to Valdaora, public transport can be conveniently used, free of charge with the Guest Pass Plan de Corones, which makes the excursion even more accessible.

To reach the starting point from Bolzano, take the Brenner Motorway (A22) to the Bressanone/Puster Valley exit, then continue on the SS49-E66 state road for about 50 km until Valdaora di Sotto.
