The Waterfall Circular Trail in Colle Isarco, also known as Hochwieden/Herrengarten, is a short and charming hiking route that offers a relaxing walk immersed in nature with splendid views over the Pflersch Valley. Built at the beginning of the 20th century during the era of aristocratic tourism, it still preserves the historical charm of that period and provides a unique experience thanks to the characteristic bridge over the waterfall, from which the power of the cascading water can be admired.
The route takes about one hour and starts from the village square of Colle Isarco, heading north until the Vicolo Postale. From there, the trail gently ascends eastwards, passing by the Hotel Gudrun, continues towards Hochwieden and reaches the waterfall, before returning through the peaceful Herrengarten.
Along the way, the roar of the waterfall accompanies the walk and invites visitors to pause, breathe in the freshness of the water, and be enchanted by the force of nature.
This itinerary is ideal for families, less experienced hikers, and nature lovers who wish to enjoy an authentic experience in the South Tyrolean mountains, surrounded by evocative landscapes and historical atmosphere.
