The ski tour to Cima Lasta is an easy and safe route, recommended in mid-winter when powder snow covers the slopes. The best period is from December to April. The exposure is to the north and the maximum altitude reached is 2,194 m.
The starting point is the village of Elle, near the Kreuznerhof farm (1,481 m). From the parking area, the ascent takes about one hour through the woods to the Walder hut, and from there continues up to the summit.
From the top, you can enjoy wide views over the Brunico basin, the snow-covered peaks of the Rieserferner Group to the north, and the high plateaus of the Luson alpine pastures.
The return can follow flat trails connecting Cima Lasta to the Rastner hut, crossing alpine meadows and small lakes. Along the way, you can stop at the Starkenfeld hut or the Rastner hut, both ideal for a break and to admire the beauty of nature.
