Ski tour on Monte Mutta

The Monte Mutta (Mutenock) in the Fundres mountains offers a wide and panoramic route, with gentle slopes and short steeper sections. It is an ideal excursion both in summer and winter, with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks.

From the parking area, follow the summer trail to the right, climbing through the forest until the junction for the sledding track leading to the Moarhofalm hut (1,730 m). At the junction, keep left and continue along the forest road towards Pichler Berg – Kaltwassertal, until the end of the road at the edge of the forest above the Moaralm hut.

After a short ascent, reach a basin near the Pichler Bergalm hut (2,080 m). Continue across a wide, flat slope heading north. To the west lies the junction for the ascent to Cima Terento – Amjoch. After two short climbs, enter the large basin east of the Mutenock.

At an altitude of 2,295 m, turn west and follow the broad ridge along the basin. The final section climbs the eastern ridge of the Mutenock, steeper but straightforward, leading to the simple wooden summit cross.

The descent follows the same route as the ascent. In the upper area, the wide terrain allows several variants, offering freedom of choice and scenic downhill lines.
