Ski Mountaineering Tour to Cima Gallina

Ascent itinerary

  1. From the parking area in Colle Isarco, follow the winter trail or the toboggan run.
  2. At the junction, continue left along the summer trail through the forest.
  3. Proceed along the forest road until reaching the Gallina hut.
  4. Above the hut, climb the uniform slope with a constant gradient leading to the former mountain station and the NATO antennas.
  5. From there, follow the ridge eastwards to the summit.

Descent itinerary

  1. The descent follows the same route as the ascent: from the ridge return towards the NATO base and ski down the slope above the hut.
  2. From the Gallina hut, continue along the forest road and the trail through the woods back to the junction.
  3. Finally, descend via the winter trail or the toboggan run to the parking area.
  4. In good snow conditions, it is possible to descend directly along the open slopes above the hut, offering a wide and smooth ski run.
