Ski mountaineering itinerary: Cima Valcigolera

The itinerary to Cima Valcigolera is a classic ski mountaineering route. It starts on the Rolle Pass (1905 m above sea level). This crossing requires some hours and you need to be experienced and well equipped (shovel, probe and avalanche transceiver). Once you reach the top, you have different options for the descent: we suggest you the route from Cadin, allowing you to reach the ski slopes of Rolle Pass.

Description: from Passo Rolle, reach the Paradiso chairl lift, take the path nr. 14-348 to Refuge Colbricon and to the lake. Go along its southern shore until you reach Colbricon Pass. Descend for about 30 m to the Ces ski track. Cross it and ascend (with climbing skins) the slope to the saddle Forcella di Valcigolera. Climb the ridge and reach the peak. For the descent, go through the canyon Canale dei Cadin: the lower end of this canyon is connected with the ski tracks to the mountain dairy Malga Valcigolera and to San Martino di Castrozza.
