Ascent
The starting point is the Waldschenke car park in Ranui (1370 m). Follow forest road no. 28 towards Weissbrunn, crossing snowy woods and clearings. The route leads to Brogles Alm (2045 m), located in a beautiful hollow at the foot of the Odle peaks.
From here, continue towards the Brogles Pass (2119 m), with increasingly wide panoramas. The final section tackles a regular slope leading to the summit of Laite Va Piz (2284 m). The ascent is of medium difficulty, without demanding technical passages, and is therefore suitable also for less experienced ski mountaineers.
Descent
The descent follows the same route. From Laite Va Piz, ski down wide and regular slopes, ideal for smooth and enjoyable turns. Near Brogles Alm, the terrain becomes gentler and easier, perfect for a relaxed descent.
The final stretch follows forest road no. 28 back to the Waldschenke car park in Ranui, comfortably returning to the starting point. In fresh snow conditions, the descent is highly rewarding, with spectacular views of the Odle peaks and the surrounding Dolomites.
How to get there
From the Val d’Isarco to Chiusa/Klausen, then continue into the Val di Funes up to Ranui/St. Johann.
