The Lab77 Association of Belluno and the Administration of the Municipality of Alpago are organising the Lago Photo Fest Alpago from July 2025 to June 2026. An open-air photographic exhibition narrating the Dolomites, curated by Fabio Cavessago.
Specifically, it is an itinerant photo gallery along a route that starts in the locality of Sbarai, in the naturalistic oasis along the shores of Lago di Santa Croce, and reaches the small village of Poiatte. The aim of the photo exhibition is to make tourists familiar with the peculiarities of the area, the culture and the natural landscape surrounding the Dolomites.
The images on display, taken by five international photographers, show how the climate crisis is also putting at risk the last indigenous tribes, forced to live deprived of their land by rising temperatures and an ecosystem that is changing too rapidly. Many of these communities live constantly on the run, to escape the invasion of their territories by settlers, loggers, oil explorers and cattle ranchers.
