Dobbiaco–Cortina Cross-Country Ski Race

Event date from: 17-01-2026 to: 18-01-2026

On January 17 and 18, 2026, one of the most anticipated events in the cross-country skiing calendar returns: the Dobbiaco–Cortina Gran Fondo, an iconic race that connects the scenic 3 Zinnen / Tre Cime area with the famous resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

A must-attend for all Nordic skiing fans, the event offers two days of sport and atmosphere. After each race, participants and spectators can enjoy a lively Pasta Party and the official award ceremonies.

42 km Classic Technique – Saturday, January 17

The main event is the 42 km race in classic technique. The course starts at the military airfield in Dobbiaco, heads briefly toward San Candido, then loops back through Dobbiaco village, continuing past Lake Dobbiaco, the War Cemetery, Lake Landro, the Three Peaks Viewpoint, Val Fonda, Carbonin, and up to Cimabanche Pass, the highest point on the course at over 1,500 meters above sea level. From there, skiers turn back toward Dobbiaco, finishing at the Nordic Arena stadium.

35 km Free Technique – Sunday, January 18

The 35 km skating race follows much of the same route, but with a slightly shortened start section that leads more directly toward Dobbiaco, offering a compact yet equally scenic challenge.
