Christmas Market in Arco

The Arco Christmas Market is one of the most popular Christmas events in Trentino. From 13 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, the historic centre of this charming town on Lake Garda is transformed into a magical Christmas village featuring around 40 wooden chalets, festive light displays, entertainment, workshops and activities for the whole family.

Strolling through the historic streets, visitors can browse local handicrafts, Christmas decorations, gift ideas, candles, glass and ceramic creations, traditional Trentino delicacies and festive sweets. Twinkling lights, live music and seasonal events create a warm and enchanting Christmas atmosphere.

What to see at the Arco Christmas Market

The traditional wooden chalets host artisans and producers from Trentino and other Italian regions. Here you can shop for handmade crafts, Christmas ornaments, wooden toys, local food products, traditional sweets and many unique gift ideas.

The market is also the perfect place to savour Trentino's culinary specialities, including mulled wine, regional products and traditional local cuisine.

Events and attractions

In addition to Christmas shopping, the programme includes a wide range of activities for adults and children:

• demonstrations of traditional crafts and a small farm with animals;
• creative workshops, street performances and family entertainment;
• performances by the Comitato Usi e Costumi Arcensi and the Arco '800 Historical Dance Association;
• the enchanting Enchanted Garden, set in Arco's Historic Gardens and illuminated with spectacular light installations;
• the Bear Pom's Den, a favourite attraction for children featuring workshops, games and opportunities to meet the market mascots;
• the cultural exhibition "Segantini and Arco" at the G. Segantini Civic Gallery in Palazzo dei Panni, organised in collaboration with MART;
• the traditional Children's New Year's Eve, with entertainment, performances and activities dedicated to young visitors.

How to get to the Arco Christmas Market

By car

• From the A22 Brenner Motorway, take the Rovereto Sud – Lago di Garda Nord exit and continue along the SP90 and SS240 towards Riva del Garda and Arco.
• From Trento, follow the SS45bis Gardesana Occidentale road to Arco.
• From the eastern shore of Lake Garda, follow the SR249 Gardesana Orientale via Malcesine, Torbole and Riva del Garda.

By train

The nearest railway station is Rovereto, on the Verona–Brenner railway line. Regular buses connect the station with Arco.

By plane

The nearest airports are Verona, Bergamo, Venice, Treviso, Bologna, Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa.

By bus

Arco is served by regular bus connections from Rovereto and Trento railway stations, as well as several cities in northern Italy.

Parking

Free parking is available near San Pancrazio Hospital, Viale Rovereto, the Sarca area and Camping Arco. Paid or time-limited parking is available at Ponte, Foro Boario and Piazzale Pomerio. Coach parking is available in the Sarca area. Before your visit, it is recommended to check the official parking map provided by the event organisers.
