The Sarentino Specialty Weeks, known as Sarnar Kuchl, hosted by Sylvia and Günther Kröss, offer a celebration of local culinary heritage. Chef Walter Mayrhofer of the "Sonne" inn in Campolasta showcases his culinary skills, proving that tradition and local culture can be preserved and nurtured through cuisine. With his expertise and knowledge, he ensures authenticity in preparing many regional delicacies.
For two weeks, he brings the traditional farmhouse flavors of the Sarentino Valley back to life. Dishes such as consommé with spleen croutons, tripe soup, Tyrolean ravioli, potato and meat “Gröstel,” buckwheat gnocchi, lamb castrato, cured meats, and desserts like Kiechl & Krapfen or buckwheat Schmarren will dominate the menu at Gasthof "Sonne."
