On Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 9:00 PM, the Teatro Valle dei Laghi in Vezzano will host the opening event of the summer series “Paesaggi Sonori – Musiche dal Mondo in Valle dei Laghi”, a festival dedicated to great international music and world musical traditions. The evening will feature Yamandu Costa and Facundo Rodríguez, two of the most exciting contemporary South American guitarists.
The concert “Guitarras Pal Sur – Guitars from the South: Brazil and Argentina” represents a unique encounter between different cultures and sounds, united by the universal language of the guitar. On one side, Yamandu Costa, virtuoso of the seven-string Brazilian guitar and Latin Grammy Award winner, renowned for his extraordinary technique and his ability to blend genres such as choro, samba, tango and classical music into a distinctive and engaging style. On the other, Facundo Rodríguez, an Argentine guitarist and composer deeply connected to the musical traditions of the Litoral region, who reinterprets genres like tango, milonga and zamba with a contemporary perspective.
