Tre Cime Dolomiti Ski Area
Skiing in the Tre Cime Dolomiti Ski Area
The Tre Cime Dolomiti Ski Area (3 Zinnen Dolomites) is one of the main ski areas in South Tyrol and is part of Dolomiti Superski. Located between Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies, it offers 115 km of slopes and 30 ski lifts, distributed across five ski mountains. The ski area is particularly suitable for families, intermediate skiers and winter sports enthusiasts, but also offers challenging slopes, training areas, night skiing and numerous opportunities to enjoy the mountains beyond skiing.
The ski area features five mountains to ski on: Monte Elmo, Stiergarten, Croda Rossa, Monte Baranci and Monte Croce/Val Comelico, with a diverse offering of slopes for beginners, families and experienced skiers.
The presence of modern ski lifts, panoramic slopes, dedicated children's areas and the possibility of practicing night skiing on Monte Baranci, in San Candido, makes the Tre Cime Dolomiti Ski Area a particularly interesting destination for a family snow holiday. Night skiing takes place on the illuminated slope of Monte Baranci, offering the opportunity to ski even after sunset in a suggestive atmosphere. Among the distinctive features of the ski area are also the technical slopes dedicated to training and the numerous mountain huts and refuges where you can stop during the day.
The Giro delle Cime: the great ski tour of the Tre Cime
One of the best ways to discover the ski area is the Giro delle Cime, a ski itinerary of about 35 km of slopes that uses 11 ski lifts and crosses five mountains.
The tour allows you to experience a true panoramic experience of the Dolomites in a single day, connecting Monte Elmo, Stiergarten, Croda Rossa, Monte Croce and the Val Comelico Ski Area. The route can be completed independently or by participating in the guided Giro delle Cime with a ski guide.
It is one of the most characteristic products of the ski area because it combines skiing, Dolomite panoramas, mountain huts and territory discovery.
