Skiing in the Ski Civetta in the Dolomiti Superski

Ski Civetta is the largest ski area in the Veneto region, also part of the Dolomiti Superski carousel, the largest in Europe. There are four locations in Belluno that make up this winter paradise: Alleghe, Palafavera, Zoldo and Selva di Cadore. In total there are 23 modern lifts, 80 kilometers of slopes with snowmaking facilities and 5 access points from 3 different valleys. The winter offerings are full of activities for children, adults and teens. The area consists of snow parks, playgrounds in the snow for children, baby slopes, 5 ski schools and 6 school camps to start skiing in total safety.

As an alternative to skiing, on offer are also snowshoeing in the snow-covered woods, ski mountaineering trips among the slopes of the Belluno Dolomites, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, sledding in the meadows and relaxing in the sun in the many panoramic terraces of the alpine refuges where you can also enjoy the typical Zoldano and Bellunese products.

In the Ski Civetta ski area, between Alleghe and Zoldo, many different events take place, the most anticipated ones are the Palaloppet, Nordic skiing competition of 15 and 6 kilometers, respectively, at the end of the season, snowshoeing in the daytime and in the moonlight, the Kamikazen with snow shows and adrenaline-filled activities (mid-February) and the Splash Party, a closing party for the lifts where skiers and snowboarders must cross an artificial pool with only skis on their feet or with a purpose-built vehicle.

How to get to Ski Civetta

The Civetta area is easily reachable by car or extra-urban lines. It is only 100 km from Treviso airport and 120 km from the airport in Venice.

Getting here by car
From the south, from lower Veneto
Val di Zoldo / Palafavera: take the A27 Mestre-Belluno motorway towards Cortina. Take exit to Longarone and continue along SR51 that leads to Pecol di Zoldo in 45 minutes.
Alleghe / Selva di Cadore: take the A27 Mestre to Belluno, take Belluno exit and continue on SR203 Agordina to reach the lifts downstream of Alleghe in an hour.
From the Brenner (north)
Selva di Cadore / Palafavera / Val di Zoldo: get to Dobbiaco and continue until Cortina, go up towards Pecol and continue until Selva di Cadore. Beyond Selva di Cadore you get to the Palafavera or Val di Zoldo ski areas
Alleghe: from the A22 motorway take the Egna-Ora exit towards Val di Fiemme. From here continue to Moena, Val di Fassa, and then to Passo San Pellegrino. With an hour's drive, through the village of Falcade, you get to the Alleghe facilities.

Getting here by bus
Ski Civetta can be easily reached with the extra-urban lines.
From the south: to Alleghe and Selva di Cadore take the Dolomitibus bus service that leaves from the Belluno station. For Val di Zoldo, however, there is a bus service from the Longarone station (Dolomitibus).
From the north: the SAD bus service to Corvara leaves from the Bolzano and Brunico train stations. From here, change to the Belluno line of the Dolomitibus up to Alleghe.

Getting here by train
From the Venezia-Mestre station, a direct transfer service is available - Dolomiti Ski Shuttle (up to Longarone)
Val di Zoldo: the nearest stop is Longarone. Trains from Venice and Calalzo di Cadore arrive here. Alleghe: there are no trains arriving at.
Alleghe. The nearest train station is Belluno. Connections with bus services.

Getting here by plane
The nearest airports are: Treviso, Venice, Verona and Bergamo. For a great price you can take the shuttle service (in the winter season) offered by the Dolomiti Stars tourist association called "Dolomiti Ski Shuttle" which leads to the Civetta Ski Area.
