The hike begins in the village of Barbiano, at the parking area above the Trögler farm. From here, trail no. 3 leads to the picturesque Nixenteich lake. At this point, two options are available:
Option A – Return briefly along trail 4A to the junction with trail no. 27. Following the signs, the route passes through Stangen and Briol, then continues on trail no. 4 to Trechiese. From there, trail no. 6 leads to Feistegg, and by taking trail no. 3 again, the hike ends back at the parking area in Barbiano.
Option B – From the Nixenteich lake, continue on trail 4A to the area below the Huber Cross. From here, descend to the right along trail no. 4 to Briol, then continue towards Trechiese. Trail no. 6 leads to Feistegg, and finally trail no. 3 climbs back to the parking area above the Trögler farm in Barbiano.
