The hike starts at the Cultural Center of Upper Telves. Follow trail no. 5, a steady uphill path of about one hour, until you reach Freundalm hut, where you can take a break.
Continue along trail no. 5 and then no. 6 to reach the Buoi hut, which does not offer refreshments but is charming for its location. From there, a flat section heading east leads in just a few minutes to the Kuhalm hut, where another stop is possible.
The descent follows trail no. 5B, reconnecting below Freundalm and returning to Upper Telves.

Public transport: bus line 315 Vipiteno – Telves.
By car: from the Vipiteno motorway exit, follow the signs to Racines until the second roundabout. Take the first exit and continue to the Cultural Center of Upper Telves.
