Start from Madonna di Campiglio (1522 m) and dive into one of the most scenic MTB routes in the Brenta area, riding through quiet forests, panoramic mountain huts and alpine lakes nestled among the Brenta Dolomites.
From the centre of Campiglio, follow the road leading to Rifugio Vallesinella (1513 m), the natural gateway to the waterfalls and woods of Val Brenta. The terrain here is smooth and perfect for warming up your legs.
Beyond Vallesinella, the trail becomes more demanding as it climbs through the forest towards Malga Fratte (1268 m). A short stretch through fir trees and open clearings then leads to the characteristic Malga Brenta Bassa (1265 m), a beautiful viewpoint over the valley.
At the gate, join the forest road that climbs to Lago Valagola (1595 m): a steady ascent immersed in the silence of the woods, leading to one of the most enchanting alpine lakes in the area. A stop here is a must.
Return to Val Brenta and the old Campiglio road
Head back to the gate and continue towards the Val Brenta forest nursery (Plazza). From here, take the old Campiglio road, a historic and very pleasant stretch that passes through:
- Fogaiard
- Fontanella
- Hermitage
before returning comfortably to Madonna di Campiglio.
